In Honor of Lulu

Graciously donated by artist, Joan Curtis

This original painting is donated by artist Joan Curtis, a family friend of the Gribbins. It is in honor of Lulu Gribbin and her twin sister, Ellie Gribbin. Lulu’s life was saved on June 7th by the men and women who work at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital in Pensacola. The experienced trauma doctors and the nurses that night saved Lulu’s life after she was attacked by a shark in the gulf. She lost a hand and also a leg in this attack. But she made it! She is alive! Thank you, every single one of you, so many of you made a real difference in her life that entire week she was cared for by the medical staff. I would also like to thank the Child Life Therapist and the sweet nurses in the recovery room who washed her hair and made her feel good, that was so special. How can we ever thank these incredible individuals for a job well done? The entire Pensacola community rallied around this precious child and showered her with love and support. It was a true miracle... she was at the best trauma hospital in Pensacola.
