Stella L.

Stella’s Shining Strength

When Lauren was 37 weeks pregnant, she had to deliver her daughter, Stella, due to preeclampsia. The delivery took an unexpected turn when Stella was born with her umbilical cord wrapped tightly around her neck. Immediately, Stella was taken to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The experience was intimidating, scary, and overwhelming for Lauren, but she found solace in the compassionate care of the NICU team.

Lauren remembers fondly of Stella’s early days after delivery and found immense comfort from the dedicated nurses during that time. Their reassuring smiles and comforting presence helped ease Lauren’s fears.

Stella, even as a tiny infant, showed remarkable resilience in the NICU. The care and attention she received helped her overcome those first critical days. The nurses' gentle hands and kind words not only nurtured Stella but also provided Lauren with the hope and strength she needed.

Today, Stella is a vibrant nine-year-old, full of life and energy. Her early days in the NICU seem like a distant memory, but the gratitude Lauren feels for the care Stella received is ever-present.
