Celebrating a Remarkable Recovery

We were thrilled to welcome Lulu Gribbin, a remarkable shark attack survivor, back to Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola to celebrate her incredible recovery. After sustaining life-altering injuries, Lulu received lifesaving care from over 70 dedicated caregivers.

We hosted a special reception where our team had the opportunity to meet Lulu again, this time as a smiling, walking teenager. It was a special moment for everyone involved, as the caregivers who worked tirelessly to save her life were able to see firsthand the strength and resilience that helped her overcome such a traumatic event.

Lulu expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the team, and the caregivers were deeply moved by her progress and the chance to reconnect. Her remarkable recovery—including returning to surfing and golfing with her new prosthetic limbs—was a powerful reminder of the impact of compassionate care and teamwork.

This reunion was a beautiful celebration of Lulu’s journey and a moment of closure for the team who played such a vital role in her healing.
